Careers & Creative Opportunities

Get your foot in the door.

Big Monster Studio offers supervised, project-based opportunities for students and early-career creatives who want real-world exposure to film, production, post-production, animation, design, communications, and digital content.

The Program

Practice in a professional environment

Our goal is to give emerging creatives the opportunity to practice their skills in a professional environment, contribute to real projects, receive feedback and mentorship, and build experience they can carry into future jobs.

Some opportunities are structured as unpaid educational internships. Students may also be able to receive academic credit through their school where applicable.

Participants may choose a smaller, focused experience — such as completing one graphic, one edit, one animation, one press release, or one social-media package — or participate in multiple projects over a longer internship period depending on availability, interest, and project needs.

How It Works

Supervised, flexible, and real

Real-World Experience

Work on real studio and production assignments under guidance from the Big Monster Studio team.

Flexible Project Scope

Participate in one clearly defined assignment or several projects depending on your interests, availability, and current studio needs.

Learn While You Work

Receive feedback, mentorship, and exposure to professional creative workflows.

Recommendation Letter

Participants who successfully complete their agreed internship or project scope will receive a professional recommendation letter from Big Monster Studio based on the work and skills demonstrated.

Where project permissions allow, participants may also be able to include selected completed work in a portfolio or reel.

Internship Compensation

Unpaid, and upfront about it

Some Big Monster Studio internship opportunities are unpaid and are intended to provide supervised, educational, hands-on experience in a professional creative environment.

Students may be able to receive academic credit depending on their school’s requirements.

Applicants seeking academic credit should confirm eligibility with their college or university before beginning. Academic credit is decided by each school, and an internship is not an offer of future employment.
